Mario,

The "Forget-Me-Nots" are way to powerful a creature in this game... First, they are always in a "mob" setting and when you get to the bridge in the Swamps you're faced with 11 of them, plus some Goblin Kings and some Mad Tarasz. The problem is that the Forget-Me-Nots can cast "paralyze" at ANY range on the entire party and there is no spell to remove this effect. Almost all of my characters have a DX score over 20 - 27 and these NPCs seem to be able to act faster than anyone in my entire group. In the rare instance that I am able to cast anything, I'm doing over 200 points of damage each and they're still alive. When I am able to "push" them out to the 70' range with two Magic-Users casting "Far Foe" (before any of the 11 get a turn) they can still cast "Spore" on the entire party (from any distance) and then my entire party is sitting there dead in the water... The effect lasts 2 to 4 rounds per cast. This doesn't seem like it should work this way? Am I missing something or was this group of NPCs at the bridge intended to be this overwhelming?!?! No healing spell works (Restoration) against the STUN effect and Absorb Magic only "marginally" fixes the problem...

Hello Veerwing,

thank you for pointing me into this.
I will re-evaluate the monster and adjust it.

Regards
Mario

Hesitation spell has been my only salvation against them, but like the previous poster stated they get initiative at a very high rate, more than any other foe so far

Game I absolutely love has come crashing to a halt, irrespective of my very high stats and magical abilities the ‘Forget Me-Nots’ instantly cast ‘Paralysis’ and that’s all they wrote.......80% of my characters Are instantly stunned and killed at leisure by the physically strong mobs in the enemy party.

Something must be done please?

I killed quite a few Forget me nots, but they were tough. I mostly ran away from them. You don't have to fight everything that comes your way — pick your battles! In the case of forget me nots, they are simply not worth it.

There were many groups, especially in the expansion, I just ran from. It was a calculation of time (including healing and trips to healing/restoration areas) vs. exp reward. Part of an old-school RPG experience, I feel, is learning which fights are for grinding, which fights are too much of a hassle, and which fights to have just because it's faster than waiting through a failed run attempt!
