FORUM: Bug Reports

This topic was started by jtoomey on 01/04/2013, 20:13:13

I went back to town and removed two of my characters from a legend mode party that had completed the game. I created two new characters, and brought them to the vault, where I gave them a bunch of cool new equipment. I then tried to leave the ruins area, and crashed at the space just outside of the castle where the guards normally wave to you as you go past.

When I reloaded, I was back at the ruin camp with one of two of the new characters added. I added the other, went to the bank and equipped them again, and, this time, went and saved at the ruin camp again. I then exited, recast spells, and went to leave town again... and the guards at the gate told me I needed training.

I had to go back to the Armsmaster and fight the Veteran again (I hit him with two Sodar's Wrath out of spite :D), collected my reward, and now everything seems copacetic again. I looked, and, sure enough, one of the characters I had removed had the original Bandit's Brassard that is the quest reward for completing the training. This seems unintended and exploitable if I can generate infinite Brassards by funneling them to an out-of-group character.

I have the before and after saves if they will help.

Hello J!

Thank you very much for your detailed report.
Yes I know the Bandit's Brassard can be duplicated. I think the exploit is not very severe so I haven't changed the mechanism yet :-) But I will think about it, thank you again.

Kind regards
Mario

Agreed; in fact, the only reason I thought it was worth mentioning was that you had gone out of your way to remove potentially exploitable sources of power and money at the beginning of a Legend mode game. Carry on!  :)
