Every time I try to fight the first group of 8 giants in the dwarves mountains the game crashes. Any advice?

Yes, this is the same bug that occurs in the Castle Ridge area.
It is due to a problem with a sound file.
You may try to enter the area at nighttime - then it should work.
The update with the bugfix is already waiting for review from Apple.
