FORUM: Bug Reports

This topic was started by Nimue on 16/12/2011, 15:41:57

A few notes on the full version, some of these may be design choices rather than bugs ;)

  • Are the two groups of five Guardians of the Grove that guard the forest passage between the castle and Savage Crossing supposed to respawn? I thought that once I cleared them away the passage would remain unguarded, but apparently I was mistaken.
  • Also, the passage is only usable from north to south, not in the opposite direction. Even after I dispose of the Guardians, I get turned back when I try to walk north. The Road Wardens seem to know some trick, since they can pass this way.
  • In the Burial Mound, I encountered a non-existing Unrestful Axeman. That is, I clicked on a tomb, got the message about its inhabitant coming to life, and then - nothing happened. I reloaded an earlier save, and then everything worked, so I'm not sure what exactly caused the problem.
  • Needless to say, I'm enjoying the game a lot, and I'm having tremendous fun poking around in every nook and cranny :) Also, the stability seems to be much improved, I played for over four hours last night without a single crash. Great job!

    Hi Nimue,

thank you very much for your input!

    - The Guardians are meant to respawn. They will prevent unexperienced parties from taking the shortcut.
    - The Roadwardens know certain tricks indeed - but this sounds like a bug. I will look into this.
    - That's definitely a bug. I will try to find out why this happened.

    Regards
    Mario

Wow, that was fast! Thanks for the reply, I'll go back to chopping some wood then ;)

One more thing I noticed: I took Gwyddon along for a stroll, and in combat he kept casting healing spells on party members who were already at full health, ignoring others who could have used a few hitpoints. Since NPCs who joined the party can't be controlled by the player, is it possible to at least have them pick a target for healing spells randomly from all injured party members, instead of everyone in the party?

    Ouch!

    stupid Gwyddon!!
I will teach him manners asap :-)

    Thanks, that's great!

Viel Spaß auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt :)
