FORUM: Bug Reports

This topic was started by misterh on 30/11/2012, 15:20:23

Dear all,

After finishing the game (boss in Inferno), I started to see whether I could find any more secrets etc.
Now, when I want to reenter Inferno for more loot gathering, grinding, I cannot enter anymore.

I get: "The path is blocked by trees, but you smell sulfur." as a message, but cannot get to the swirl anymore.

Last thing I did was to stock up my bank account with unusuals. And as I could get another divine shell, I bought one, but I guess that that one triggered the pre-inferno story again, so that I am now prohibited from entering again.

Could you please fix that in a timely update?

Thanks and best regards,

Thendal.
P.S.: I would appreciate it, if the spawnrate in Inferno could be increased as well. As it is, it is currently the only place where you can grind for "of Forgus" items, and the amount of set and random spawns is rather low. Also from an XP perspective, there are a lot of other spots, where you get massively more XP in comparison. Apart from that great game.

Hi Thendal,

yes, you are right. I checked it out, buying another shell will cause this bug.
If you can please provide me your last saved game, I can fix this.

As for the inferno spawnrate: I will see what I can do.

Regards
Mario

Actually, I don't find the Inferno spawn rate that bad. There are four fixed encounters on a loop before you get to to the lava fields. I can easily hit those four plus usually about one random encounter, then duck out to reset the Inferno and go back for another run through.

Remember that the Inferno is "backwards" from the other dungeons. In the other dungeons you grind and grind until you are ready to move on and then you go for the boss of the dungeon if there is one. In the Inferno you go for the boss as soon as you can and then you grind here while waiting for expansions. Adding more random or fixed encounters will make it even harder for those going for the boss, and it is pretty tough as it is now. (Although if the boss is dead, perhaps Mario could check that and then increase the spawn rate  ).

Just my 2 cents...
