Using purchased bag of gold - ID: 527

Hey,
Great game! Played Bards tale for a few years in my early teens, this takes me back. Am loving it.
I have a party created and spotted the option to buy gold, duly did and now struggling to access the dosh! It's in my inventory as a bag of gold but I do not seem to be able to use it. For instance to acquire new spells for paladin.
Probably being a bit thick but any help appreciated.
Touch the Use Item symbol on the right hand side of the screen and select the character who has the gold bag.
The bag of gold should be listed then - after touching it, it is transformed into shiny coins.

BTW dont do what i did. Save your game after you get your gold. If you die its gone.
