Hi Mario,

I've noticed that the portal in the Crystal Sea map to "the planes" has been offline for quite some time pending new updates/improvements. What are the improvements we can expect, and when will access to the higher planes be reinstated again? I saw something in the settings of the newest version which indicated that the number of "boss kills" for my game was currently unavailable, but soon that would change... I can't wait for more bosses after having already completed the game! Also, I've noticed a lot of land in the Northeast area of the overland map that currently has nothing in it. Maybe that could be used for further expansions? hint, hint, nudge, nudge> We need more Bard's Tale-like material to delight ourselves with while we wait for The Bard's Tale IV (as well as Gotterdamurung--BTW, how's that coming?). Won't you hear our call and forge new adventures for us to enjoy?

Hi Oroboros,

the message regarding maintenance when trying to access the planes is not intended as a hint for further plane travelling in the future, sorry ;-) I just needed a lock for that door (not much to explore there after you finished the game, so I thought it wouldn't be necessary to keep it open).

Yes, I know that there is plenty of open space left. Perhaps I can put that to good use.
It's not that easy to keep on programming after five years - ideas don't come easy... I have some things in work, but I really don't know if I can finish these things. Too much real life disturbing the world of Nostalgic CRPGaming.

Silversword 2 isn't going to be finished, sorry again. Silversword was coded by myself, and any step in any direction would probably demand more than the 100K Lines of Code I created. I just don't have the power for that.

I wish I could give you a more optimistic foresight, but I have to be honest. Hopefully Apple let me run the game for another year or two so that some of the new ideas can be implemented (they've changed much over the years and it was sometimes a pain to adopt to their new standards).

kind regards
Mario

Noooooooooo! Silversword 2 looked so promising! But maybe if you find the time, you could add another expansion or two to the original Silversword game. Whatever the case, thanks for bringing back an old classic in an even better way than it was originally rendered. Silversword is truly a great game.
