I'd really like to get the expansion but I've not yet finished the original game. Are there any features in the expansion that I could access now or would it all have to wait until I've completed the main version?

As long as lost forest is open and you have rubies to open the gate across into water top there are things to get and do if you buy the expansion such as alchemy and thief mastery leveling, better items and experience etc.. Dragon calling must wait until you beat the base game though.

You can open and play the expantion with out beating the last boss? So you can work on other things?
