FORUM: Gossip - The rusty dagger tavern

Mario, I'm very late to the silversword party, but SO thankful to have found it!

As someone who played DnD in the '80s and the original Bard's Tale in the '90s, Silversword is a dream come true. I discovered the game about 5 weeks ago and have been playing non-stop ever since. I'm well into the expansion (just defeated the Fisher of Souls) and having a blast. I love the balance of story, exploration, puzzles, combat, and optimizing my characters via levels, skills, and gear. The combat system is right up my alley. The maps are so clever as is the successive refinement that keeps it challenging level after level. Sometimes the puzzles are too dang hard (I would never have noticed "save nature" despite the hints), but this forum has bailed me out every time. Playing this game feels like a conversation with your wittiest and dearest friend.

Mario - it's more my style to lurk, but a labor of love like this requires personal thanks. Silversword is amazing. I hope you're inspired to keep adding maps and other new bits and pieces for a long time, but even if you never update again, I know I'll replay the game many times and get something new out of it each time.

Gratefully

Thank you very much :-)

There are still some things that I want to implement (new content), but I don't know when I have the motivation and the time to finish everything.

The game was made for people like you 8-)

kind regards
Mario

How many potions of divine restoration do I need to buy to motivate you?  ;)

I would also like to offer thanks, and a supplication for another expansion. Invasion of the Compost, maybe? I know I'll be disappointed when I finish, especially if there is still Astralyte in Annsharbour.

If it were for the money... ;-)

Hopefully I get things done before Apple devices won't run the game anymore

Oh, dear. I can't afford to buy enough potion for you to hire a programmer to rewrite the whole game.

And I can't help you code, either, alas, all I have is ideas -- after making it through the factory on the northern shore of Loch Caetar and destroying the Astralyte machine, you find a flash drive you can use to hack in to the drones and reprogram them to clean up the waste! 8-)

made a note, thanks :-)
