I'm playing on the iOS version for ipad. I've gotten the rusty steel bar and have cleared the abandoned tower several times but I still can't get the room in the basement to unlock. Any help would be appreciated. I have worked my party up to level 11 so I really don't want to start over. Thanks in advance.

You are in the wrong tower.
The door in the basement won't unlock (now).
Try the watchtower in the Castle Ridge Map.
