Thanks for a great game. I first bought it a few years ago, and I'll be honest I found it quite cumbersome and didn't play too much
I just redownloaded it a few days ago. It feels like there's been a lot of improvements since I last played, and I'm starting to enjoy it much more
One issue I do have is that Im constantly having to open the minimap, even to travel very short distances in the starting town. Otherwise I just end up making a wrong turn all the time
Would it be possible to add a very simple compass overlay to show which direction you;re facing?
This would help a LOT with navigation, and avoid having to open the map every 10 steps (even if it was just a single N,W,S,E letter which got printed over the main graphic area).

Ive upgraded my magician now and it works great, thankyou!
There is a song your bard can sing that gives you this. however, I agree that a mini map should appear. This is especially so when u are in an area that is dark and u must repeatedly hit the map, move, hit the map again. It is beyond cumbersome.
