Both Full and Lite Version are waiting for review by Apple now.
They will be published with the version number 2.0.1, including several fixes, enhancements and the new Map Notes feature. Simply touch anywhere on your map to bring up a text input field for your personal notes.
To delete a note, touch it twice - it's as easy as that.
