Raising stats ceiling in the expansion (closed) - ID: 1079

Mario,

Any way to increase the stats ceiling for the expansion? Some of the monsters are extremely tough and very fast. I was in the mines in the iron valley and after reaching level 3, my ams and dc due to the spell point draining spots, had absolutely no mana left and i just happened to hit a pack of 20 stone throwers at 10' with some mages at 70' and other creatures between. I had my bard play the horn or as____(something, that has the same affect as hesitation), who just happened to have maxed dex, and before he could move, it seemed that majority of the monsters had attacked. Of course, my thief with fresh apples and my hunter also with apples, moved first (both maxed dex) to attack the mages, but the rest of my party, got "stoned :)" by the stone throwers.

Maybe raise the primary stat to 50 and the secondary stats to 40 :).

As I'm still in the second area of the expansion, i would assume that the monsters later are even worse.


Yes, they are worse ;-)

A combination of items of force (SpPt regeneration) and the proper Bard Song should bring your party up again within moments.

Are there any other types of items that can have the "of force" attribute other than ring of force? I've 5 of those already and they are equipped by my spell caster, but even with song of chant, i'm only regening around 6 mana points every combat round or 5 to 10 secs (not sure of the machanics) of standing around. I'm hoping that i'll be able to stack equipment with "of force" to improve my regen.


There are gloves of force which add 1 point per round as well. With a level 54 bard playing the spirit chant and a ring of force and gloves of force, my party regenerates 7 SP every 6 seconds.


I would like to close this feature wish.
With Alchemy and your rogue hiding/hitting always acting first you should be able to do most of the fights.
A revisitation of the stats cap will be made sometime in the future - perhaps in the scope of another expansion.

I think you can close it, especially since multiple bards are additive when playing the spirit sound.
