Picking locks time limit - ID: 1324

i dunno, it feels like the lockpicking screen is too easy. you just wait for the squares to turn green then push them.
if they switch too fast, you just wait for them to change again.
if you take your time and wait long enough, you can turn them all green without fail, every time.

maybe it could be spiced up a bit, like adding a time limit. like we only have 10 seconds to turn them all green or the trap goes off.
or maybe each square only turns green twice and if you don't press it then it turns red and jams automatically and then you then have to unjam the chest and start over.

or maybe do like a "simon says" thing...like when you first start picking the locks, all the squares flash green in a random sequence and then turn red, and you have to remember the sequence so when they turn green again you have to tap them all as they turn green and if you miss one or do them in the wrong order, then the lock jams.

maybe this is too complicated...i dunno, i always use trap zap when the game lets me, i just can't be bothered lol.


If you get to higher level locks, the tumblers never turn green, at least until you gain master thief levels, and / or start using lock picks.

I'm not sure this needs to be tweaked.
