I am not sure this just posted, but I am going to try again anyway. If it did I am still learning my way around this forum. So, this game, as far as games that are accessible to blind people goes, is great. There are only two things I have trouble with. I've got navigating the game with little help down pat. I am completely blind and so occasionally have my friend look at the map, otherwise I am good. The only things I would change are two of the prompts. I've noticed that sometimes the text that appears prompts the player to continue and sometimes text does not. Also, when I pick locks I use allot of lock picks and then reload based on success because I am guessing.

Thus, I was wondering what people think about a switch in the settings that toggles sound prompts for all text along with a lock picking prompt.

How about a tone version for the hearing impaired? Red could be one tone and green another. Of course there'd need to be a way to select the tumblers you are listening to...

That would be perfect. As it stands, I play most of the game with voiceover on and put my finger directly onto buttons except in the case of inventories which is about 50/50 swiping/direct contact. When I am picking chests I swipe and after pushing the button it will tell me green or red. So a tone playing for the button the VO cursor is highlighting or even red red red green or something would be awesome.

Please tell me where a voice over text is missing or wrong. I will fix that.

With the next update I will implement a distinct sound for each of the switches.
The first one will get a low tone click, the next one a slightly higher tone.
With 10 switches visible this will become quite a mess ;-)

I hope this will make things easier for you!

Kind regards
Mario

Alright, this will do nicely. So far I have come up with two ways to do this, both of which make sense with practice. First, I should explain that I created a new game with a group that included a rogue and hunted down a chest. I then began picking the lock and discovered two things. One: It can be difficult (this is not a complaint) to get it with voiceover because one must double tap to trigger a switch. Two: the method I am working on is finding the buttons location on the screen with VO on and, with my finger hovering over the button, triple clicking home to turn voiceover off and waiting and pressing the button once. This method is preferable and quite doable but the timing is tricky. I've gotten a chest open a few times now however and it is wonderful to be able to pick the lock on my own. I do have a question though, does the window for error widen as a chars lock picking skill increases?

As a sighted player, yes it seems that as skill goes up the window is longer, in fact once you become a master thief the tumblers in the upper left stay green continually.

Yay thx about to try it
