I spent forever making my party and just wanted any advice/input since I am having a rough time with enemies even after starting the game. :(
Race/Class ST/DX/CN/IQ/LK HP/SP
1. Paladin Human 18/18/17/17/15 29/17
2. Dwarf Monk 16/18/18/16/17 22
3. Barbarian Fighter 18/15/18/15/18 30
4. Elf Hunter 18/18/18/17/17/17 30
5. Hobbit Rogue 18/18/17/16/17 21
6. High-Man Conjurer 14/18/18/18/16 18/21
7. Gnome Magician 16/15/17/18/18 17/18
I spent forever coming up with this party (and rolling them! lol) so any tips/advice would be definitely be appreciated since I seem to be having a rough time starting out so far. Is my team composition okay, what to expect, or just any advice in general I would really appreciate since I absolutely love this game without even putting major time into it yet.
It's all personal preference end of day of course, no right answer.
My two tweaks would be:
1) Change hunter to barbarian (hunters are all about crit %)
2) I'd take a bard (Traveler's Ditty is too handy and bard sucks less once it gets aoe damage from horns) no matter what. If I had to pick a char to lose, I'd drop the rogue.
Just my two cents!
I'll take that into consideration, and I was hoping to have my Hunter use bows also when necessary. (and will I do okay without a bard in my party?)
All other input and advice is still appreciated since I plan to play again tonight after my iPad charges. :P (may play for a while haha)
It's true that all stats have to increase to 18 before progressing further correct?
The +crit % applies to bows too.
Wall,
You understatementmate spellcaters.
Tris is my chiose
Paladin dwarf
War barbarian
Monk human or ranger barb melee
Bard human or high man
3 spellcasters
In late games the spell are Too much important and change class makes them the most powerfull pc.
I would consider also 2 spellcater to have one free slot for summoned pc but not yet tried that

Should I get rid of my 5th slot Rogue for another spell caster? And is my ranged Hunter okay in my 4th slot?
Spellcasters are uber powerful, my problem with a 3rd spellcaster would be gold (learning new spells soaks up a LOT Of gold for 2 casters in party).
Well, hunter is crit master but not used is party. If he increase the number of attack per round livelling than use as melee
Welcome RichRuzz,
my advice: Just go and buy some better armor as soon as possible.
Your party should rock as soon as your AC drops a lidle bit. :-)

I'd trade the rogue for a bard (3rd spell caster could work too but may be tougher at low levels) and definitely keep the hunter. By level 15-20 the hunter is easily the most powerful non-spell caster if equipped with a bow.
I'd estimate I'm about halfway through the game. I started with a warrior, a pally, a bard, monk, ranged hunter in the 5th slot, and two casters in the rear. At this point of the game I'm finding my Paladin to basically be useless. His spells are replaceable and offensively Paladins aren't very strong. I've started power leveling a third caster, moving my hunter up to the 4th slot. It's been going super fast and the extra caster makes life MUCH easier. Currently I use him as my support-spell caster (heals, Sorcerer's Sight) and debuffer, leaving my other two casters to blast away. The difference is night and day.
