For some reason after my encounters I get a message that one of my party recovered lost or dropped items. What does this mean? Thanks

If any of your members are using throwing weapons they will collect them at the end of a successful fight returning them to their inventory. From time to time whatever you fought will drop loot and that is also automatically picked up. Sometimes a chest will appear behind where your opponents were. Do not leave it for later. Decide how you will get into it and begin your attempts. Combat chests are often generous and disappear when left alone.
