Hi, thank you for the update with the new game for the chests, but - i do not have a rouge and some boxes are save of Trap ZAP - so how can i open the Chest - force does not help - is the an item to buy for the others????
Hello Xarobal,
the new system heavily relies on having a rogue in your party.
As I don't want you to force using one, I will have that changed with the next update.
By now, those chests can't be opened except with a rogue.
Regards
Mario
Nothing worse than finding yourself out and about without your rouge (or lipstick!), but in a pinch, I'll just remove a pin holding up my tresses, twist it into a makeshift lockpick, and take a few pokes at those vexing little tumblers.

Yeah, I had a rogue in my first party, read advice that they are not really necessary if you have enough Mages, then restarted with an extra Mage. Then the update happened and there are non-TrapZap chests everywhere.
Force open does work, but you may have to try 10 or 20 (or 50) times-- it seems random, but I suspect there is a dice roll behind it, with STR as a modifier. I did some experimenting and it does not seem (I'm not completely certain though, so don't hold me to this) that forcing it open and setting off the trap does not seem to destroy the contents.
It appears that Str has a minimal affect, at best, when forcing chests. Sometimes it takes me soooooo many attempts, that I start including my comparatively weaker mages into the mix, out of sheer boredom! More often than not, they succeed where my front-liners consistently fail. So tedious, particularly now that fixed chests more often than not just have low levels of cash now, instead of random loot. :(
I tried forcing chests with my luckiest character and it seemed to work better than using my strongest. It could all be down to random chance though.
