It says my practice points are at 710/100 but I can't seem to train it anywhere

you buy it up back at the place where you bought the skill in the first place, in watertop

Got it. Thanks.

How does one actually acquire master thievery practice points? Does this require that you hide in shadows with your rogue as much as possible? Do you have to keep on advancing 10' at a time in combat to end up acquiring them? I only ask because I want to make my rogue character a dragon caller, but want her master thievery rating to be as high as possible before I change her class.

Using thief skills. You get points for hiding in shadows, critical hit from hiding and picking lock tumblers (but not using a lock pick).

Thanks for the reply, Wizardz. I'm doing all of these things with my Rogue, and it's just taking a while--a long while to get any noticeable practice points. If nothing else, this game teaches patience--just like the Bard's Tale series did.

Yes, patience. Thanks for making me laugh. Have you noticed hide in shadows points go up each time you use it in one combat (until you get about 9 for 90 feet at least). I get about 500 points that way from just one grind through the old bne house, just telling the rogue to hide every round in combat. And picking the level ten locks there on the random drop chests, gets you ten each time. The points for critical hit from combat seem less rewarding, so I just have the rogue hide and pick chest locks.

While raising the master thief skills, focus on getting CON to 24, INT to 24 and LCK to 40 in that order probably before you convert to DC, if you can. Yes, that requires patience, but it's worth it to maximize your rogue DC.

I just checked and am getting nothing for critical hits from hidden. And I get nothing for hiding when I am already at 90 feet. I think when you are above 60% it may be easier to not train more until you have enough training points to put you over 100%. The hide to 70', 80, then 90 in one combat gets you 24 training points without much combat maneuvering. Then you can attack and start hiding again...

If you hide while hidden, does it give you points?

Every round you hide when you are at less than hidden 90 feet, you gain points. If you are hidden and you do something else, you do not get points.
