Gwyddon first quest with the herb - ID: 562

So i have the herb, and i have returned many times to the area near the river and the ruins where i first met gwyddon, but to no avail. How do i find him again to give him the herb?
Huh. I always just met him there. Are you maybe not going far enough in? I never have seen him from afar.
From the northwest corner of the castle grounds is the ruin camp,the corridor and then his bit of grass (then water), you need to be past the entry for the corridor forhim to appear.

Hah! yeah I kept going OUTSIDE the castle, where the river refreshes you, not inside the castle grounds near the campfire. Silly me.
Easily done. It all starts twisting around in our memories. I have ended up using the map's flags.
