Getting the Shard of Nature without a rogue - ID: 1602

To all of you without a rogue in your group, how did you get the Shard of Nature?
As others have noted if you force open the chest the entire party dies.
Did you grind it out to raise your party to a certain level? Did you create a side character rogue specifically to open that chest? Or did you find another workaround?
I’m stuck and am open to spoilers.

Huh. I thought I read somewhere that you could play without a rogue, but I've never done it, so I don't know. I assume you tried Trap Zap? If that doesn't work, I guess you will have to go back and create a rogue. Fortunately your party is strong enough to get a rogue from L1 to L10 or so quickly.
