Ok I am stuck and I am sure i missed something, please help!!! I have the dragon egg but I can’t unlock the door in the abandon tower! Exactly what do I need to have or do before I am able to unlock this door.

You took the egg to the locked door on the far SE corner of Castle Tower (south of the castle) and the door did not open automatically? If so, I don't understand. There must be some other prerequisite. Have you been through Inferno and defeated the evil one? If not, put the egg in the bank and go do that first.
