Hi I have a question about this item, the Dietrich. I assume it works like a lockpick but frankly I'm not really sure how that item works either. Could someone explain how exactly these items work and what they do?

I tried to use one at a chest and maybe it slowed down the tumblers a bit but nothing really worth keeping these around. I've also read elsewhere on this board that a Dietrich has some kind of special purpose and would be curious if this is worth keeping an item slot occupied for it (frankly, I have 3 Dietrichs at #10 each, so that's 3 slots that I would rather use for something else).

Thanks!

When you are at the menu for a chest, where you can choose to force it, pick lock, use item and sometimes cast TRZP, the use item choice will allow you to use a lock pick device you are carrying.

Doing so removes one or more of the chest's gizmos, including jammed ones.

You can put extra lock picks and dietrichs in your bank vault.

Would anyone know why dietrichs are any better than lockpicks? or just much more expensive?
