I'm re-visiting all the old areas of the game, trying to find some rubies. I've found dozens of magic carpets and lamps, but not a single ruby, not even in the forgotten crypt and the dwarven mines. PLEASE change one of the empty buildings in the market district to a jeweler's where you can buy rubies, diamonds, and maybe some other things, like gold jewelry (which would be useless but fun, and might be something to trade to savages in a future expansion).

Maybe after the fall of Maruziel, the vampire house could be emptied out and converted to a shop? Then I could just buy my ten rubies and move on.

Over the sea there are chests with rubies and diamonds as well as in the riddge falt

Yes, thanks, but I have found them all. I traded the rubies for diamonds, and traded some of the diamonds for silver runes. In the weeks since I killed Maruziel, I have re-visited the Dedranat Caves, the ridge fault, the dwarven mines, Horon's Sanctuary, the towers (Castle, watch, and dragon), the castle tunnels, the forgotten crypt, and the Bandit's Cave, killed about 20 million XP worth of enemies, and found enough Sodor's Eyes to repave the broken sections of the east road and enough Magic Carpets to insulate Karilan Andur, but have not found one single solitary ruby.

If there are gem stones and gold around, it just makes sense that there would be a place to buy and sell them, at least once the area has become safe enough.
