I've made it to the 2nd level and can beat most monsters but when I go into that statue room, pretty much game over. Have leveled, etc my chars (13 or more in levels) with no luck in getting passed them. Has to be one of the more frustrating items in.the game....am I missing something?? Yes, I got the bard song...no luck there.

I just recently completed the burial mound, had plenty problems there but that fight went ok I think. You should be high enough, what is your party composition, and what are the enemies?

Level 13 or higher - 2 mages, thief, monk, fighter and bard. Get killed by the 3rd round of attacks. Yes, I do have the 1st spot filled by a shadow storm.

IMHO the burial mound is the hardest dungeon in the whole game. The level of your team is usually not very high (13 is about normal) and yet the monsters you face are a lot stronger than you have faced so far. It requires accuracy with your combat choices, a bit of level grinding and determination to keep trying. You will get through in the end.

Well I'm now level 16+ and seem to be in the same place as I have been for 10+levels now. I cannot believe the devs made a place that the monsters kill you in 3 rounds or less. this is getting to the point of ridiculous....

Hello tomvilfroy,

don't despair. A different tactic or approach to a certain map / area might get you further.

:?: Are the mages you have multi classed? IMO you pretty much HAVE to change classes with your mages to take advantage of the extra hit points and spell points they receive from starting over at level 1 in a new class. Wait until your mage hits level 13 in their respective class (to get the level 7 spells), then switch to a new class. 8-)
