I’m getting bored looking for this crypt can someone just tell me where it is?

The forgotten crypt at the start of the game? It’s in the SE corner of the first map outside the castle. You’ll need to walk through a few fake trees to get there. You’ll find a treasure chest in the NE corner, but beware of proceeding beyond that - the trees past the chest are real killers! Back out after the chest and head south from the square where you rotate/spin.

Now that I have the steel bar that opens the secret door, how do I get the lever to move the bridge? I want to free that soldier from his cell ...

You need to find the controls. Use the steel bar to pry the door open, then go in and move the lever.
