I think I have done everything that should have been. Went to Volcano and got disruptor, saw the monk and got the mithril rune and paladins last spell, but everytime I go for Combat Stance training, I'm told that I need better standing with the protector of the realm. What did I miss? Did hatch dragon egg and can now go to plane, but from the walkthrough I believe I should already be able to get training. Am I wrong? Thanks in advance.
Edit... Ok I found. Out of order from walkthrough. Onward we go!
