I've defeated the main bad guy and got into the chest behind them but I still don't have the key for the chamber. Is it somewhere else on this level. I thought I had mapped everything but still can't find it.

Yes. Do you have to have it equipped. I think it was just in my inventory.

You may have to use the staff when prompted to get into the chamber of storms.
