I traded them for shields...Are these special shields?

Yes, I did not get burned. But, I cannot find out how to get in the middle on the plane of earth

It's in a small room when you first enter the entrance to the planes.

I'll look for the room. Thanks. Have been trying to get to the center of the earth plane. Saw the walls moving. Will keep working on it. I assume there is something important there.
You have to go to the side that is NOT where the plane is...it is an area that you step into light.
Ok coffee... That really confused me. I went thru air to fire, fire to water, and water to earth. Have been waiting for a wall to open to the center. Am I in the wrong place?
On the plane of earth the walls appear and reappear. U would think u can enter the middle from where the doors are leading to/from the plane. That is not where though. You have to walk outside, where it goes dark and you get stoned (the not fun way). When you get to the area where there is light (opposite from where u wait at first by the doors, and where u have to walk outside to get to) the wall will disappear allowing u access to the middle, and able to get key of air to get you to the control area. The monsters are extremely difficult. I went through 5 divine restorations lol.
Wow! Finally made it to controll room, and thru some really tough battles. I suppose I am to figure out how to place an item to kill the force field??. Without getting fried?

It's the item you got for finishing the volcano.
I must be in the wrong place. At the "ship energy control and escape pods" the only options it gives me is "place shield of refraction or leave"
I did find the place to use the item from the volcano, but I am still missing something.
There's a place in the ship to use the disruptor u got from the volcano.

I think you get all 4 from the same map, Crystal Sea. It's been awhile so I could be wrong.
The locations are marked by blue + symbols, roughly in the four corners of Crystal Sea. The NW one is farthest from that corner of the map.
