Circular thingie? - ID: 1113

Don't read this if you didn't make it to the volcano yet, but if you know where something circular comes from let me know!

Tom the tinker in the volcano is looking for a circular thingie, 4 cogwheels(save those diamonds!) and a what I assume is the red lens. Anyone know what the circular thingie is and where to get it?

So, wait, where is this circular device or "thingie"? I've heard that it is in the small maze behind the door that leads into the Volcano, but before you get to the actual volcano. I can't find anything of use in that area. I've also heard that the "circular thingie" might be on the planes somewhere. Any hints or ideas from anyone about this? I have the two other items so, it's only up to this last piece, and I should be able to avert the eruption at the volcano.

I will answer my own question here: the "circular thingie" (formal name being "circular gadget") is in the Silver Mountain map proper (the first Silver Mountain map one arrives at). You must answer the magic mouth's question, and then fight the Jaberwock! I'm waiting for the nefarious Banderwhack next!
