How to re-enter Inferno? - ID: 1048

So I finished the game and wanted to grind Inferno but returning to the 9/13 sewer drain I can't get to the Inferno entrance. Shattered walls didn't help. Am I missing something obvious?

There is an entrance in the southwestern part of savage crossing, through some hidden trees. There is a split in the road if you go all the way south, and then west from there.

This entrance is blocked when you wander there before fighting Mazuriel. It is past the burned out farm house south of the secret tree passage to the bandits cave. Before it is open, you smell sulfur there.
