What does retrieval mean under settings - ID: 458

If you use throwing weapons, your characters will retrieve them after a fight (only if you won, and did not run away).
With this option, you can enable a message regarding the weapon retrieval after each fight.

FYI, I stopped using ranged weapons (ie bows) because over time I just ran out of all my arrows. Very rarely run from fights so why is this?

only throwing weapons are retrieved - arrows will be lost!

Spears, knives and shurikens etc. are retrieved. Arrows can be bought and eventually there are magical bone arrows that you can find.
