Getting rid of superfluous items - ID: 1536

OK, my party has accumulated a fair number of items in the game, including some duplicate quest items and some non-quest items I cannot drop.
I really don't need 23 Divine Dust clogging up my bank vault. The correct number would be more like zero. But I can't drop it, and I can't seem to use it - no use option appears when I select it in my character inventory, only Trade and Equip. I also don't need a second Divine Shell, or my extra pair of Axe Amulets.
I'm tempted to make a dummy character to hold these items. Maybe delete him while he's got them, if the game will let me do that. The game doesn't even give me the choice of not picking things up, so there has to be some way to get rid of them, or every long time party would be complaining that their banks and character inventory were completely full of Divine Dust.
The dummy character trick is clever. It's worth a try.
Divine Powder can be used. Tap the Hand icon on the right of the main screen, select the character who has the excess D.P., then select the character to use it on. They don't even have to be dead! ;)
