Hi everybody, I'm new here and to this game, but not the genre. I had Wizardry V : Heart of the Maelstrom for the SNES 20+ years ago, and I absolutely loved it. I searched for Wizardry in the iTunes store and came across this game. I've only been playing for a few days, but I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed. Silversword is so close, it really brings back fond memories. At 46, I don't have the time to play as much as I could when I was younger, so my advancement in this game will be quite slow, but I guess that means that I have longer to enjoy it lol! As a newbie, I have one question so far, what is a Harmonic Gem used for? I searched through the forums and couldn't find it, I apologize if it's posted already and I missed it. Thanks to the developers for this game, you've made this old gamer happy!

A harmonic gem is a one time full restoration of spell points for casters up to 10,000 sp I think which you'll probably never reach. Harmonic splinter are partial (full only if very low Sp.) There are also special places you can restore sp either every day or two, or for gold, plus most above ground day time travel, or resting locals.
Use the use item hand to make use of these items outside combat, or the command dialog of the character with the item when in combat.
