I am having a hard time finding the entrance to level 5 in Miners Deep. I have looked everywhere on the map that I can find, and I have gotten the cogwheel from the mining company. Can I get a hint about how to find access to levels 5 and 6?

Thanks for the link Mario. Unfortunately, I can't even get from level 4 to level 5. I am wondering if there is a switch or lever that I need to pull to reveal a staircase to get from level 4 to level 5. I have tried to hit all of the walls looking for a secret door or something, but so far no luck. Maybe something on a previous level that I need to do to unlock access from level 4 to level 5? Thanks again for any help.

Here's a big spoiler:

First, go to place (1), you can enter it from the west wall. After that, head to (2) and enter the small secret room south of it. Then to (3), the wall should be gone now. Try to avoid all scroll/script symbols on the path! Then you should find the entrance to level 5.

Hi Mario,

I am a visually impaired player of your game. It is very awesome and I have enjoyed playing it so far! I have enough vision to see the map a little. I can see when walls are filled in and where water is, but that is about it. I currently play with my boyfriend who has no vision at all.

That being said, we made it to level 4 of the Deep. We are stuck. I really appreciate you posting the map, but there are so many visuals on it that I cannot follow your instructions.

I know where the first secret room is and I understand where place 2 is. When I tried to go in that place on the map you have marked I could not. If I go through a "Darkness" room, will I have to start over? Is there a way to tell where a darkness room is before stepping in it? I have no color vision so if it is marked on the map in that way I would not be able to tell.

My original plan was just to go back to the first level and give the name of the owner of the mines (from the walk through) and continue on from there without finishing the mines, but that did not work. So, I believe I am stuck. I do not think I can go on with the game now without going through the entire mines. Do I need the Dragon Vision spell? We do not have the dragon caller class yet.

Since you posted a map, would it be possible to get a speed walk? Or, if not, any suggestions would be welcome.

Hello PS,

thank you for your message. I will try to explain the map.

First of all: Darkness only removes your light source. So no worries. Just make sure that you aren't spun around and you continue in the correct direction.
The teleporters are more tricky. But let's have a look at the map...

You cannot the room that I have marked with the number 2, because there is a chest in that spot.
You have to touch or bump into the chest to activate the mechanism that is attached it it.
Then you should see a message that says that something in the west happened.
Go to spot 3, and through the wall - then you will find the entrance to level 5.

If at any point the game does not behave as I described, please let me know.
