FORUM: Gossip - The rusty dagger tavern

This topic was started by damow on 10/09/2012, 01:04:05

Hi,
Having read the pros and cons on the rogue, I'm considering ditching them in favour of a warrior. I'm at the Burial mound, I have a Pal, Bard, Hunter and 3 casters. Is this a good idea or should I persevere with rogue? Without one is finding secrets and opening chests harder? Is a barbarian warrior a good replacement given the above party? Will the new addition always lag lots behind the other party members?
Thanks

In my humble opinion, you should have one of each character types with three magic users. As you raise your magic users to arch mages, you have plenty of time to raise your new character to high enough level. I just sent a new monk and a new warrior out with my arch mages and raised them to levels 50 and 45 respectively. I previously ran my thief with just the three arch mages to get him up to 1000 hit points. Running smaller parties gets XP faster. And you can play with the odd wandering monster as a team mate, if you like.

If I am going to play the whole game with just seven party members, I like your original seven. But it's more fun to have them all available and swap them around, for me anyway.

Thanks for advice, will give it a try.
