It would be cool if a mage could store spell points in a jeweled amulet with uncharged amulets for sale in a jeweler's shop. I could see a mage storing 50 spell points per day (about what you get from standing in the sun) for several weeks and winding up with thousands of spell points s/he could use later. Maybe the amulet would work like a reusable, rechargeable harmonic gem, or maybe you could use them directly. You could even add a "Final Strike" capability, where the mage could cast all the spell points at once in a massive burst against a particularly nasty enemy.
