OK. So I've been playing for about 11 hours and my characters are now L13, and I'm frustrated.

I'm basically hanging out around Savage Crossing and the Loch. I can clear the first level of the grave mound, but get killed quickly on the second level. I can clear the bandit camp at ground level as often as I want, but get killed quickly by the Tarasz groups underground. I can clear the upper mountain ridge, but get killed quickly by the mountain dwellers down the scree.

L14 seems far, far away. I also just don't have the money to get all the spells my casters need. My Paladin is short a spell or two, and I'm still trying to collect cash for my Conjurer's L7.

I just replaced an underperforming Warrior with a brand new Rogue - I was playing without a Rogue up until now. But I'd rather not ditch my whole party and have to play 12 levels all over again. Here's what I have.

Warrior AC -8, 253 HP L13
Paladin AC -8, 165 HP L13
Hunter AC -9, 169 HP L13
Bard AC -5, 202 HP L13
New Rogue - never mind
Conj AC 2, 55 HP L13
Sorc AC 2, 53 HP L2, just switched over from Ma

Some random concerns. Even with buffs I can't get my ACs below -12. I never found better armor than they sell at the castle! Also, pretty much any enemy caster completely destroys my party in a few rounds, which makes dealing with the Tarasz really difficult.

Any tips?

Have you looked at my walkthru? You need to do some grinding, I think. That means revisiting the areas your team can handle. Several times. This is how you collect better weapons and armor as you go up levels. Go back to the forgotten Crypt and run through it until your fighting team has bronze weapons and armor and wool for your casters. This process will also get you the cash you need to pay for more spells. And perhaps to buy butterflies and javelins at the shop in the woods.

Agreed. You will be item poor if you clear a section and never go back. Clear out the same dungeon 3 or 4 times. The item drops seem to get better as your levels go up (the quality, not frequency). As it has been stated many times under other topics, grind in the Bandits cave (southeast of Savage Crossing through the trees). Save and enter the fight in front of the bridge. If the enemies are not at least 30' away, reload and try again. When the enemies start at 30' away, have your casters blast them with the best ranged group spells they have. Most of the Mad Tarsaz should be toast by the time they get into melee range. Leave, save, and repeat. I did this for the better part of 2 days. While it becomes a bit boring, the effort is well worth the time. Good item drops, great experience. This will also fix your cash flow issues.
