Please can someone tell me the primary sats for each class as I want to make sure when building my party I get off on the right footing? Any help appreciated, thanks.

In a nut shell they go:

Hunter: DX and ST
Warrior: CN and ST
Paladin: CN and IQ
Rogue: LK and DX
Bard: LK and IQ
Magic-User: IQ and DX
Monk: DX and ST

Honestly, I don't know what's in it. Otherwise I'd consider buying it.

The main differences/additions to the game manual:

- technical information for each class / race (how many HP / level, exp needed, primary stats etc.)
- nearly complete item list
- nearly complete creature list with exp, health and damage info
- more detailed information about runes, traps, stats, levelUp consequences

pfffft... "nearly complete item list" he calls it;

it is a multi-paged chart which tells you the name, description, classes that can wear/use, price if purchased, bonuses to AC/THACO/SV, whether it can be enchanted with a rune, spells it may already have and stuff on damage rolls. The creatures charts are just as full, everything but locations.

It seems to me that Mario is a hardcore gamer and has presented us with all of the information he wanted on hand and in an easy to read style.

My hat is off to him.

One thing I couldn't see in the compendium - am I right in assuming you can't increase NON primary stats above 18, until all non primary stats are 18, then you can increase them indefinitely?

Also, the maximum additional hps / spell points from stat bonus's is capped at +10?

The stat mechanic is stated in the chapter "Levelup!".
The cap on the INT bonus on spell points is explained in the "Stats" chapter.
There is no cap on health point bonus.

It may be that the compendium is not up-to-date in the 2.0.3 live-version. In this case, please wait for the 2.0.4 update, which is coming soon.

Just to say Mario I purchased the compendium to support this great work!
Thank you..

Hi Mario - aside from the inherent effects of stats, what is the importance of primary stats to a class? Ex, I kinda just left my Thief's Luck at 10.. So aside fromit helping with Traps avoidance and Spell resistance, does it gimp my Thief as it is Primary for that class? In what way?

Does it come with complete maps of most areas? If so I am in as I am stuck!

@Savant:

The primary stats doesn't have any other effect in addition.
In the beginning, their cap is higher than normal stats - that's the only difference.

@MayorQuimby:

No, maps are not included.Perhaps someone will someday publish his/her maps on this forum (please use the spoiler tag ;-) ).

kind regards
Mario
