Will there be a chest that belongs us...so we can put useless or futureusuable items in it....
Hello Morrandir,
by now, you have to keep your possessions with you. But you can of course make some sort of a "storage" character that can carry the items you don't need. He will be available in every ruin camp / adventurer guild.

oh good god.. i forgot about the item limit.. 12? right..?
Umm lets say i forget to reduce my inventorys before i upgrade to full version... whats happens to the excess items?
Actually while im at this.. if the entire team is full.. (lets use the watch tower dungeon as an example) the game will recognise this and not forever lose things like the metal bar if it cant give it to someone?
Also might as well ask... Quest items like the various keys and metal bars and such.. is it possible to have a quest item inventory? so these dont count towards the inventory limit? this i would presume would automatically solve the above potential issue as well..

"what ya mean 12?.. my sword, shield, armour, helmet, gauntlets, healing potion and 6 changes of socks....? what about my loot....? where the hell do i carry that?"
No worries,
having 12 (or more) items in your inventory only means that the character won't get random loot items and that you cannot trade items to him/her.
Items that are scripted (e.g. all quest items) will be given to a character even if that means that the character will have more than 12 items.
I have decided against an item inventory - keeps the tension up because you have to decide if something might be a quest item ;-)
But honestly: You should find that 7 x 12 slots are pretty enough even for spare packs of dry socks.

Limited inventory space is a standard rpg thing so nothing new there.. more concerned about not getting quest items and being "locked" out of dungeons or a way of progressing, but of course you have already thought of that hehe.
May i ask how long you have been building this little project?

"I think he making fun of your socks......."
Sure!
I started 12 months ago, not knowing much about iOS programming at that time.
All I knew was the fact that I longed for a game in the style of the "Bard's Tale" (or Wizardry) on my iOS device.
I wanted...
- challenge
- grinding
- no game on rails (that's why I don't like Infinity Blade)
As you know, there was/is no such a game (except Dragon Bane II maybe, but that lacks certain important mechanics) on the App Store... so I decided to do it by myself.
The manual of The Bard's Tale Construction set was a big help for me, and with someone else making most of the graphics, I had time to develop the App.
So here we are... 12 months later, and with estimated 500+ hours of coding/testing. I am glad that my girl-friend allowed me to do this, because I still have a full-time job to do, and all the coding had to be done in my spare-time.
The game is not perfect, there are still things on my ToDo list... but it works. And I am playing it all the time - and that is a good indication that I achieved my goal :-)

Well, kudos where its due, you might not think its perfect and there may well be some issues.. but you know what, it is amazing and the dedication you have is an inspiration to other developers whose only job is well developing..
Once the main game is released, no doubt there will be some things we as play testers and you as a dev havent spotted.. but please dont take anything logged about bugs etc as critisism but as us wanting to help to make it perfect :P
Pretty much everyone ive seen posting here has nothing but good things to say and the reports of bugs all seem to come from a honest desire to help improve your game.
Ive been mooching around on the app store for many months looking for good RPG's even found a few.. but as you have said until i found silversword there appears to be a lack of games of this style.. however i might have a nosy at the one you mentioned :P but not at the expense of silversword dont worry :P
Well anyways time for me to hit the sack.. well my son anyways but someone has to go with him :P
Thanks for starting this project all those months ago.. from what i have seen and i sure the others will agree, esp calmrider who has seen more than most :P its been well worth the wait.

Yes, I agree with you
Hi Prestols! If you get a moment, go to the “gossip” section and tell us a bit about yourself! We’d love to know how you came across the game and what you think of it.
The board seems inactive but you’ll find there are actually a few players who are still active on this board!
I am active!
Glad to hear you're keeping active, icetear. :)
I just killed two shadow stalkers and 50 prowlers and am now resting in the dark in Miner's Deep, listening to Spirit Chant in between blasts of dark magic sapping my strength.
I'll be glad to get back to Watertop and pick up the latest copy of the Tarnak Times!
