So I've explored everything I can, up to a certain point. When I get to the altar, it dm gives the message, and the "ancient force" doesn't let me continue on. What must I do to get past this?

It refers to a certain weapon one of your characters has to carry (inventory suffices) to go past the ancient force.

Ahhh thanks. I'm still not sure what the exact answer is but I suppose I must figure out myself. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
