I'm just starting out, and really loving this game so far! That being said, I'm trying to figure out the best way to arrange my party. I've got a Warrior, Monk, Rogue, Bard, Hunter, Magician and Conjurer (currently in this order). I had originally planned to use my Hunter with a bow, but I'm thinking that I might be better off making him a melee fighter instead. However, before I move my Rogue to the back row, I was just wondering if she would still be able to melee while hidden in shadows (since Rogues are supposed to close the distance to the enemy). If so, then I'm just going to move her back, and the problem is solved. Thanks in advance for any help with this! :D

Yes your rogue will be able to melee attack once hidden in shadow or if he/she has a ranged attack weapon then subtract 10 from the maximum range. For each level of hidden the rogue has, he/she will be able to attack monsters 10ft away. So if the rogue is in the back 3 positions, you could say he starts at -10 ft from the front line, thus a 20 range weapon will allow him/her to attack monsters that are 10ft from the party (20-10 = 10). If the rogue is hidden then it would be (20-10+10 = 20 (each hidden adds 10 ft to attack range)).

Hey, thanks a bunch for the detailed explanation! I apologize for the slow reply, but I never received an email notification saying that someone had posted up on my thread. :)
