As I understand it, diamonds are just valuable things you can trade. But if so, why did the diamonds I picked up say Diamond (#1)? That seems to imply they are magical.

I have a better idea of what gems are for now, but I still don't understand why the diamonds read "Diamond (#1)" like a harmonic gem. I guess I'll try using one next time I find one. I'm currently searching for rubies, since like most people I didn't keep the ones I found. :x
