i would like that the map is allways shown, while not in combat.

I am here:

An option to move while the map is showing would be nice.

Moving with the map showing could be nice to avoid those nasty traps :) or to make a long distance journey without constantly advancing a little then looking at the map, advancing a little then looking at the map, ... ;)

On a second thought, i don't know if it's really a good idea ?

I've the impression, this will need a lot of work for just a little convenience.
So implement the more important things first (bug fix, features, ...), and only implement this one if it is easy too implement.

Just my 2 cents ;)

After playing for a while now, i cant really stand it any more. Moving 3 steps, switching to map, moving 3 steps, switching to map.. and so on, and so on. on the upper right part of the screen os a nice empty window while out of combat. i would like the minimap there, please. make it an option, if the hard core players dont want this.

for me it would make the game so much more fun.

Please :) :)

lucky there is a map at all.

i dont know why you are using a shocked smiley, but without a map i wouldnt even considered to buy this game, simple as that.

and i wont continue to play it without a 'active' minimap.

switching every few moves to the map has nothing to do with "exploration is a part of the game".

Too bad that would be a "show stopper" for you. typical internet strong arm behavior

Add Waypoints! and points of interest too. :?

you overestimate the importance of this game for me.

I agree that this would be more than convenient. From a play-ability perspective it is really annoying to have to keep switching to my map every few moves, because I know that intersection will spin me. It is not very quick to switch and I've spent a lot of time in a couple puzzles lately where it was just that, 3 moves and check...3 moves and check. Quite frustrating!

I would actually be good with just a compass on screen, that would solve my need to constantly switch (unless I'm getting teleported).

So I discovered the arch-mage Sodar's Guidance and it's compass, so I guess that is there.. just have to be high enough level.. that helps. :)

Magic Compass, Conjurer Spell-Level 2, might be of help, too ;-)
