I just got this, anyone know what it does other than pulse with energy

Hi Coffee999 -

   I just got this when exiting the Lost Forest. Haven't figured out what it actually does yet, but it i worth like 40000 gold so I guess it must do Something(?). I thought maybe a strength enhancement, but doesn't see like it. Also thought maybe a spell point regeneration..but also no dice. I will keep trying things and let you know if I figure it out.

In d&d trolls regenerate. They heal ~5 up a round. Try putting it in a fighter type and see if it heal them. (Some times it only works on wounds taken while the ring is worn.)

This is my guess as a D&D player for over 20 years.

I have one now for every member and I still don't know what it does. Fact that it costs so much is why, but the shield ring is ac2 and that gets more bang it seems

If you check the wearers health, you should see something change over time...

if not - it's a bug ;-)

Update on the Troll Ring (I now have three of them). They do indeed restore health - so now you can have your bard do the Restore Spell points ditty and have the Troll Ring slowly restore health to your party. BUT - sometimes you have to unequip them and re-equip for them to work. I have noticed a similar bevavior with the BardSword. It is upposed to allow unlimited tunes, but sometimes you have to unequip and re-equip it to have it refresh your max allowed tunes.
Guess this is a minor bug, but easy enough to work around until Mario has time to address it.

Does it only work on fighters? That would explain why it doesn't work on my thief.

Many thanks for the unequip/re-equip trick! Now my low HP thief is regenerating like a troll. Great help in a lava field.
