I finally finished the game, beating the great demon Maruziel with my party of level 23-29 heroes!

Searching through the smoking wreckage that was the destroyer of civilization, I found his treasure...

Fairy Cakes! Wait. What?

Yes, kids. Apparently Fairy Cakes are what drove Maruziel to commit great evils, and you can wrench them from his cold, dead hands yourself.

(I was really hoping for something a little cooler than an item I auto-drop, but being a hero really must be its own reward.)

Obviously rotten Fairy Cakes drove Mazurziel crazy :lol:

What did you expect: a lucky bag, a bowl of cherries, a bottle of champagne or more likly a fools cap or a certificate: "survivor of the silversword dungeons and slayer of the rotten fairy cake eater mazurziel"?

I think it is always hard to come to an end and even a twohanded sword +1000 or a robe of many colors (I always hoped to find one while playing pen & paper rpgs) will not help  :?

I finished the game yesterday and found my first fairy cakes. Luckly I am warned now, so that my crew won't taste them  ;)

I dunno what I expected, but something useful, I guess. My bank is choked with fairy cakes and and all the other food items. None of which I've ever used.

That's my problem when I play games like this, with drops being random, I hate using consumables. I have never used a single bard horn, either. and I have several dozen of them, too.

I understand the problem with the consumed items.
My party carries about eight horns...

i think Mazy dropt nothing for me (is tht possible?!?), obviously the better way than a dry cake  ;)

Since my last, rather negative, post I have eaten those wicked cakes! I started using up my bard horns as well. The game is just too fun for me to complain about anything!  :)
