FORUM: Gossip - The rusty dagger tavern

This topic was started by Eldrane on 05/02/2012, 09:57:37

Im trying to get into a store which only opens at night
How does time pass in the game, is it connected to movement ?
If not is there anything I can do to get it to pass faster so I can enter the store?
Any help appreciated, thanks

Hello Eldrane,

time passes when just waiting (but not inside a character screen or during a spellcast menu e.g.).
To advance time to the next morning, you can enter the ruin camp.
To enter the shop that only opens at night, you have to wait (or move, or explore).

Later in the game you will find means of letting the time pass quickly.

Mario

How does time pass more quickly I can't be any more further along in the game

so there are two places you can "rest" and you can specify an hour, 8 hours or until morning. One is in the Restrooms (Nice Mario ; ) in the sewers below Slums. The other is in Caer Caaitan (sp) - go past the INn and temple over the water and on the extreme north center of the map there is a camp in the woods.

I also noticed in the last update Mario added some audible clues for the passage of time... a Gong on the stroke of midnight, Birds chirping in the morning, Crickets chirping to signal the start of evening. Nice touch.

"Caer Caaitan (sp)" = Loch Caetar :-)

Mario

Sorry Mario - I'll try to be more specific next time ; LOL - hoping there are new areas to explore at some point (?)
