Going east is a general objective in the game. You'll come across lots in other directions which need to be dealt with as you try to make your way.<br/>
Get to know the area in and around the castle. Explore buildings that you come across in bits. As you become better armed and armoured venture deeper. Not all barriers are real, and your characters will get better at recognizing that.<br/>
The big step of going east won't really begin until you have cleared the 2nd watchtower.<br/>
There is a well written manual tucked away behind Help in the settings section. (Gear icon in bottom right corner.) I developed the habit of doing a Save Game before settling in before big reads since early versions the game ticked along in realtime while you were there. Which is/was handy for short reads while waiting for characters to recharge or shops to open.<br/>
