Come to a grinding halt at Savage Crossing. Spoke to guy who told me about herbalist. Headed South first to have a little look. Access blocked. Also, blocked at trees with smell of sulphur. Headed back to Crossing and then went East where Herby joined my party and told me to check the trees. Found temple in Druid's Grove but it didn't allow heathens. Headed further East to Deeper Forest with Save Nature message. Progress blocked. Encountered herby dude on the way back who told me to go to Burial Mound. Met lizards on the way who told me to visit them in swamp. Could not locate this but did find Burial Mound and managed to get in. Butt truly kicked. Came out. Decided to search for lizards but party kept getting mashed by Orc Shamans. Went to Tavern. Had too much to drink. Sodar not taking my calls. Any help greatly appreciated.

You'll get access to the lizards later. You need to complete three locations to progress. The burial mound is one and is probably the easiest. One of the others is the grove which you've found and will gain access to soon. The third you haven't found yet, but is very close to Savage Crossing. It's also probably the hardest, but gives the best xp gains.<br/>

I too found the burial mound a big jump up in difficulty. You should either spend some time gaining experience for your party (getting a sorcerer gave me the edge I needed to continue), or you can use a certain spell to bypass the hardest of the burial mound battles if you want to do that instead.<br/>

Thanks Syro. Your advice is very much appreciated. Thanks also for the offer of more detailed info. I might need that very soon! I am particularly interested in the place that I've failed to locate. I can only think of two places. The "farm" with the strong smell of sulphur that I've already mentioned and the wizard's place with the sanctuary outside. The latter was blocked, although I did manage to answer the riddle for the sanctuary and was welcomed as a believer. If possible, could you let me know if one of these is the mysterious location that I haven't found. If it's not one of the two, then I'll continue to seek it out. The dungeon I speak of lies very close to Savage Crossing. Pay close attention to the trees as you explore. Specifically:<br/>

<div class="spoiler">Check the trees as you head South from Savage Crossing and you'll find a path leading to the bandit's cave</div>

If the burial mound gives you trouble, you should be prepared to get slaughtered in this place, though. But you can get a lot of xp if you survive -- I used it to grind my casters through a very helpful class change.

Ok. Thanks Syro. I'll try to find the place, show my face, say hello then beat a sharp exit!  I will follow your advice and attempt the Burial Mound first. I expect a rough ride in there anyway. Thanks again. You've been a great help. Cheers! Nojart.
