Saving the game is disabled in some areas, but as a general rule, it should be possible in overland maps.<br/><br />
If you have your save game button greyed out, please try to quit the game, remove it from memory and restart it.<br/><br />
In addition you can provide me with your save game file so that I have the chance to investigate it.<br/><br />

I just wanted to mention that this happened to me too. I didn't realize this was a bug, I thought I just hadn't found somewhere to save...<br/><br />

All was well until I ran into one very tough group which took out my entire company in two turns! I lost all of my progress and my beloved characters :(<br/><br />

After this I thought to search the web about saving in the game. Realizing I could have saved all along is very annoying!<br/><br />
<br/><br />
The game is very enjoyable, but I'm still at the beginning and have already run into several bugs...<br/><br />
<br/><br />
I will gladly be a beta-tester for your next game; it certainly seems that you need more of those.<br />

Actually, there are specific areas where the save game feature is disabled for me. The Lost Temple after the hand of time quote, the Sewers and the Passage all seem to be no save zones, for example. I thought this Es a feature instead of being a bug...<br />

The zones you mentioned have indeed "no saving possible" areas.<br/><br />
<br/><br />
I am referring to certain circumstances when the save game feature is suddenly disabled due to a bug.<br/><br />
Of course, this is hard to differentiate when you don't know the no-save areas. Usually you can tell that it is a bug when you can't save at a place where had been able to save before.<br/><br />
